Syringoma

Syringoma is a skin-colored benign adnexal neoplasm growing near the sweat glands surrounding the eye area. It is usually 1-5mm in diameter and has no effect on health.  However, some people choose to have syringoma treated or removed for cosmetic reasons.

By using skin resurfacing laser to evaporate the skin layer-by-layer and undesired skin literally evaporates due to the high water content of the epidermis.  The skin is “resurfaced” or “rejuvenated” by the vaporization action of the laser.

Another technique is to use cauterization (a technique of burning) small benign tumors.
